Formed in 1998, Caustic Soul is a band founded on friendship, and shared loss. Leaving the literal and figurative emptiness of Wyoming behind, they began to make their mark on Colorado, winning over a growing audience through intricate yet accessible songwriting and the relentless intensity of their live shows. They are ready to release their third album, An Absence of Warmth, which is a concept album based on the horrors of the First World War.

Their sound is mixture of goth, industrial, post-punk and metal, with soaring arrangements and painfully heartfelt vocals. They are most in their element live, when all else is abandoned, and only the music, and the memories remain.
